At NES, we want to find the best products to suit your needs. That's why we offer a range of options from trusted suppliers, that we know will last. Tony has travelled around the world ensuring that NES are up to date with the best products.
There are a number of factors that go into finding the right products for your system:
Your energy usage - understanding energy usage helps to determine what system size you should be getting and whether a solar battery could be an option for you to save more money.
Roof space - while most panels are roughly the same size, they have different output levels and so if you have a small roof you might want to opt for more energy efficient panels to maximise the output of your roof.
Budget - there are a whole range of products available coming in all different price ranges. We will help you find a solution that fits your budget. NES also offer finance across our services if you would like to spread the initial cost.
We are happy to guide you through this process and design a system that best suits your needs.
Please see below for an example of some of the manufacturers that we work with.
Solar panels are designed to last and can withstand all kinds of weather. To give you some context, NES have installed over 6,000 panels and never has one failed! Our selection criteria for solar panels are dependent on the panel's output, size, aesthetic, frame colour and backing sheet colour. All of our panels come with a 25 year performance warranty.
Solar modules can be made from monocrystalline or polycrystalline silicon. Monocrystalline solar is made from a single crystal where as polycrystalline is formed from melting silicon into a cast. Generally, monocrystalline panels provide the most efficiency but tend to come at a higher price than polycrystalline. Polycrystalline panels tend to have a blue shine. The backing sheet colour and frame can come in either black or white. All black modules tend to be the most popular among domestic households due to their aesthetics.
Below is an example of some of the panels, however each manufacturer offers a range of both black and white panels in varying outputs from 250-390 Watts.
An inverters basic function is to convert direct current (DC) electricity into alternating current (AC). Solar panels generate electricity in DC, however household appliances use AC electricity making inverters crucial to the solar energy system. Inverter warranties can be anywhere between 5-20 years, depending on the manufacturer. However, extended warranties can be purchased to ensure you are covered for longer. NES can offer basic, low cost inverters or if you would like to upgrade your system we can also offer a SolarEdge inverter with panel optimisers.
SolarEdge works by individually optimising each panel on your roof meaning that you can get more out of your system. SolarEdge also allows you to monitor the performance of your panels through a SolarEdge app.
Solar batteries are a great way to maximise your own energy usage and reduce your reliance on the National Grid. They store excess energy so you can continue to power your home at night. Batteries can range from around 2.4 - 10 kWh in size but most domestic properties use a 7-10 kWh system. Battery warranties tend to come with warranties up to 10 years.
To install a battery you will also need a battery controller. Battery controllers can either be stand alone devices or they can be integrated into a hybrid inverter.
NES are not limited by the products on display. We are able to provide a number of solutions to help you find the best products for your system and your budget.
